About the role
We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager to lead our B2B and B2B2C sales activities in Cape Town. The role is responsible for driving profitability, managing the sales team, and overseeing the lifecycle of TGAZ assets in the region.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement the Cylinder Channel strategy for the region.
- Monitor regional performance, identify gaps between plan and actual results, and take corrective actions.
- Manage distributor performance, conduct business reviews, and ensure alignment with budget targets.
- Provide input for annual budgeting and oversee sales forecasting for each sales area.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships and manage contract negotiations.
- Ensure timely management of Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) in line with company goals.
- Gather competitive market intelligence and adapt strategies to emerging trends.
- Maintain compliance with HSEQ standards, local regulations, and company policies.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including Operations and the Group LPG Business Line.
- Oversee the effective use of the Salsa program and protect the company from financial and reputational risk.
Required profile
- Degree or diploma in sales, business management or administration with 4‑6 years of marketing and sales management experience in the oil & gas sector, or Matric with 6‑8 years of relevant experience.
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience, preferably in the oil/LPG industry.
- Strong analytical mindset, results‑oriented and able to lead a team to meet targets.
- Excellent leadership, people‑management and conflict‑resolution abilities.
- Proven experience in setting sales goals, negotiation and managing contracts.
