Regional Human Resources Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced, commercially‑minded HR leader to oversee the people strategy across South Africa, Namibia and Mozambique. Based in Durban, you will partner with senior business leaders to develop capability, drive engagement and ensure compliance while supporting sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders to deliver the regional people strategy, workforce planning and business transformation initiatives.
• Lead end‑to‑end recruitment, onboarding and talent retention across the three countries.
• Oversee reward, benefits and payroll governance ensuring compliance and competitive remuneration.
• Drive learning and development programmes, leadership development and skills planning.
• Manage performance management, employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
• Handle complex employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary processes and labour disputes.
• Ensure HR compliance, governance, employment equity and people analytics across the region.
• Lead the regional HR team, promoting operational excellence and effective budget management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Labour Relations or a related field (post‑graduate qualification desirable).
• Proven senior HR generalist/management experience in a complex, multi‑country environment.
• Deep knowledge of South African labour legislation and employment practices.
• Experience managing employee relations, disciplinary processes and labour dispute resolution.
• Expertise in multi‑country payroll governance, reward and benefits administration.
• Ability to partner with senior leaders and support organisational change initiatives.
• Strong analytical, HR systems and data interpretation skills.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing abilities.
