Recruitment Consultant

About the role

Our client in the telecommunications sector is seeking a Recruitment Consultant on a 12‑month contract to manage the full recruitment lifecycle. You will source, assess and place candidates while building strong relationships with both clients and talent.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new clients, understand their hiring needs and advise on market trends.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities through cold calling, networking and proposal preparation.
• Source candidates via job boards, LinkedIn, referrals and proactive headhunting, maintaining a robust talent pipeline.
• Screen CVs, conduct competency‑based interviews, verify qualifications and prepare candidate profiles for client submission.
• Coordinate interviews, manage feedback, negotiate offers and support onboarding and compliance processes.
• Maintain accurate records in the ATS/CRM, produce recruitment reports and ensure compliance with labour legislation and POPIA.
• Monitor industry trends, salary benchmarks and competitor activity to provide hiring insights.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Marketing or a related field (preferred).
• 3‑5 years of experience as a Recruitment Consultant or in a similar talent‑acquisition role.
