About the role

We are looking for a professional Receptionist to join the Guarding Division at our Durban office. The role is the first point of contact for visitors, clients and staff, ensuring a welcoming and efficiently managed front‑of‑house environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Monitor all entrances continuously and control access.
  • Receive visitors and deliveries, directing them appropriately.
  • Maintain the reception area to a high standard of cleanliness and order.
  • Operate the switchboard, answer incoming calls and route them correctly.
  • Facilitate clear communication between staff members and clients.
  • Perform general administrative duties as required.

Required profile

  • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience as a receptionist or front‑office clerk.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bilingual ability (English plus any other South African language).
  • Professional appearance, punctuality and a clean disciplinary/criminal record.

Required skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
