Raw Materials Controller – Brewing

About the role

The Raw Materials Controller will lead the brewing raw materials function, ensuring the right materials are available to meet production plans while maintaining a safe and compliant work environment. This role supports the brewery’s supply chain, collaborates with suppliers and internal planners, and drives continuous improvement in material handling.

Key responsibilities

• Lead raw‑materials planning, forecasting, ordering, payment, budget control and supplier management.
• Interpret and implement brewing and production plans to guarantee material availability.
• Maintain stock accuracy in SAP and MES and ensure SAP master‑data correctness.
• Monitor MRP KPI compliance, audit stock reconciliations and support audit requirements.
• Provide information to regional production planners, divisional planners and suppliers.
• Investigate and minimise material losses and support new material trials.
• Manage relationships with suppliers and support the DPR Controller and Administrator.
• Ensure hygiene, food‑safety compliance and follow‑up on PTP, VIM queries and GR/IR items.

Required profile

• Relevant B Degree or National Diploma (ideally).
• At least 1 year of experience in logistics, procurement or supply‑chain environments.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with a financial inclination.
• Ability to work under pressure, plan and coordinate activities, and solve problems analytically.
