Radiographer - Kroonstad

About the role

Mediclinic is recruiting a Radiographer for its Kroonstad Radiology Practice. The role is based at the practice and involves operating X-ray equipment, fluoroscopy, in-theatre screening and CT scanning to produce high-quality diagnostic images that help diagnose patients. The position is permanent.

Key responsibilities

• Operate radiology equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Assist the Radiologist with procedures
• Apply radiation protection measures to minimise exposure to patients, staff and others (ALARA principle)
• Provide accurate and comprehensive records of examinations performed
• Identify, prevent and manage risks to ensure patient safety
• Carry out quality control tests in line with SAHPRA regulations
• Assist with modality stock control and ordering of consumables
• Assist with billing, procedural and ICD-10 codes

Required profile

• National Diploma in Radiography, BTech in Radiography or Bachelor's in Diagnostic Radiography (BRad)
• Completion of community service in the relevant field of work and capability
• Desired: 2 years of private practice experience

Required skills

• Knowledge of SAHPRA regulations
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
• Knowledge of the ALARA principle
• Procedural and ICD-10 coding
