Quality, Technical & Warehouse/Yard Supervisor

About the role

We are a national furniture removal and transport company with over 30 years of experience, seeking a hands‑on Quality, Technical & Warehouse/Yard Supervisor for our Gauteng operations. The role combines oversight of removal teams, warehouse and storage management, and yard/fleet activities to ensure high‑quality service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise removal crews, ensuring furniture is dismantled, packed, transported and re‑assembled correctly.
• Manage warehouse and storage functions including receiving, dispatch, stock control, inventory, palletised storage and documentation.
• Oversee yard and fleet operations, conduct vehicle inspections, monitor CCTV, maintain security and perform night‑shift duties.
• Inspect goods, vehicles and equipment for damage or quality issues and verify correct loading.
• Assist with specialist items such as grand pianos, high‑value artwork, carpentry work and minor repairs.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accountability.
• Support management with administration, reporting, planning, stocktakes and other operational tasks.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.
• Strong carpentry, woodworking and handyman skills with experience in furniture assembly.
• Valid Code 10 driver’s licence; PDP and forklift licence are advantageous.
• Computer literate with good administration and reporting abilities.
• Fluent verbal and written communication in English and Afrikaans.
• Own reliable transport and willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends and public holidays.
• Professional, sober work ethic and ability to liaise with clients.
