About the role

The Lesotho Water and Sewerage Company (WASCO) is seeking a dynamic Public Relations Manager to lead its corporate communication efforts. The role involves shaping the company’s public image, managing media relations, and overseeing CSR initiatives to support the organization’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement corporate communication strategies aligned with the company’s vision, mission and objectives.
• Review and maintain communication policies to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
• Manage the production and distribution of company publications, including the Annual Report.
• Disseminate water‑usage information to the public through appropriate channels.
• Oversee corporate branding, marketing initiatives and ensure a positive company image.
• Create and maintain networks with key stakeholders and maintain good relations with media houses and journalists.
• Guide the development of executive speeches and act as spokesperson on operational matters.
• Lead corporate social responsibility programmes and promote community development initiatives.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly activity reports and monitor implementation against strategic goals.
