Project Finance Administrator (Construction)

About the role

The Project Finance Administrator will support the finance function for construction projects across the East Rand. You will ensure accurate financial data collection, certification, and invoicing for multiple sites, helping the company maintain strong cash‑flow and debtor management.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, consolidate and verify financial and operational data from project sites nationwide.
• Compile and prepare monthly payment certificates in line with contractual requirements.
• Ensure all supporting documentation is complete before submission.
• Coordinate with on‑site teams to obtain approvals for payment certificates.
• Generate client invoices based on approved certificates.
• Review and validate timesheets and claims.
• Create and manage purchase orders according to project needs.
• Maintain records of personnel accommodation across projects.
• Manage debtors, cash‑flow reporting and process improvements.
• Generate quotations for external clients using Pastel accounting software.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in project accounting or finance administration.
• Experience working in multi‑site or project‑based environments.
• Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in payment certification and invoicing.
• Track record of reducing outstanding debtor days.
• Strong compliance with financial and administrative procedures.
• Ability to resolve discrepancies, reconcile accounts and contribute to cost‑control initiatives.
• Knowledge of South African financial practices is preferred.
