Project Administrator (Housing Projects)

About the role

The Housing Development Agency (HDA) is a national public sector development agency that acquires and prepares land and develops housing and human settlements projects. It is looking for a Project Administrator in Cape Town to support the coordination of housing projects, from inspections and documentation to unit handovers and resident training.

Key responsibilities

• Arrange and facilitate site, technical, allocation and relationship meetings, including those between contractors and beneficiaries on defect rectification, and meetings that lead to project completion.
• Plan and coordinate inspections according to the Clerk of Works projections.
• Coordinate the collection and collation of project documentation and subsidy documentation from contractors.
• Implement the Project Manager's communication plan and coordinate on-site activities of donor programmes.
• Arrange and coordinate the takeover of units, keys and certificates, and the installation of technical items after beneficiary handover.
• Coordinate training of residents and manage relationships between contractors and beneficiaries on defect rectification.

Required profile

• Grade 12 or similar qualification.
• Diploma certificate or similar in a related field.
• 2-3 years' experience in a similar role.
