Professional Nurse - Phlebotomy

About the role

An opportunity exists for a Professional Nurse to join the team at the Welkom branch. The employer is looking for someone with a proven track record of competence in phlebotomy, a high level of ethics and integrity, and alignment with the PathCare values.

Required profile

• Nursing diploma or degree qualification and registration with SANC
• Valid Code B driver's licence (manual transmission)
• Fluent English with an understanding of Afrikaans
• Acceptable performance record for the technical and behavioural competencies of the position
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays

Required skills

• Phlebotomy experience is essential
• Pathology experience is highly advantageous, including order of draw and running of point-of-care instruments such as Hemocue and Stratus, and arterial blood gas analysis
• Computer literacy; Meditech knowledge is advantageous
• Teamwork, problem solving, effective communication, stress resistance and adaptability
