Production Supervisor – Packaging & Assembly

About the role

You will lead an energetic team on the packaging floor of a national fastener manufacturer, ensuring daily orders move smoothly while maintaining the highest quality standards. This position offers a solid step forward in an operational supervisory career within a thriving industry.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily packing line activities to meet target outputs each shift.
• Assign tasks to packers, sorters and assemblers based on order priorities.
• Verify packed items match customer orders, quantities and barcode labels.
• Conduct spot checks on finished orders to eliminate packaging errors.
• Report equipment breakdowns promptly to minimise downtime.
• Maintain tidy, well‑stocked and safe packing stations.
• Record shift completion numbers and hand over stock to dispatch teams.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) with a relevant certificate in Production or Logistics.
• 3–5 years practical experience in packaging, assembly or warehousing.
• At least 2 years proven experience leading a shop‑floor production team.
• Familiarity with industrial small parts, scale weighing and barcode scanning systems.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving and safety‑focused attitude.
