Production Supervisor

About the role

Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations at their facility in Phillipi, Cape Town. The role involves managing raw material availability, quality control, and coordinating production activities.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure that there are enough raw materials (sand, stone, cement, slab wire, post wire, oil) available.
• Check the quality of raw materials.
• Reorder materials as needed based on sales and stock demand.
• Conduct month‑end stock takes.
• Lead the daily production meeting with the Stock Supervisor and General Manager.
• Ensure demoulding and casting processes follow company policies and procedures.
• Double‑check quality and work before items leave the production area.
• Maintain a clean production area ready for the next day’s work.
• Submit necessary paperwork to managers.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience as a Production Supervisor in a similar industry.
• Ability to prioritize, plan and organise work.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Reliable, honest and trustworthy.
• Good communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Enthusiastic and energetic.
