Production Manager – Epping Manufacturing Plant

About the role

The Foschini Group is seeking an energetic, self‑motivated Production Manager for its Prestige Clothing plant in Epping. You will lead a team of roughly 250 employees, ensuring high‑quality formalwear is produced on time, with minimal lead time, while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Execute an operations strategy aligned with TFG D&M objectives, focusing on quality, speed, dependability, flexibility and cost‑effectiveness.
• Oversee production planning meetings, machine preventative maintenance and maintenance plans.
• Motivate and develop the production team, fostering a performance‑based culture.
• Analyse financial statements and performance data to identify cost‑reduction and productivity opportunities.
• Achieve targets for efficiency, financial performance, on‑time‑in‑full delivery and product quality.
• Implement Lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualification in Clothing Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or equivalent.
• 5–8 years of experience in a similar role within clothing manufacturing.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, TPM, TQM and Quick Response.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; exposure to MIS is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication and influencing skills; diligent and detail‑oriented.
