Product Readiness Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Product Readiness Engineer to lead the preparation of technical service information for the South African market. The role combines technical writing, engineering change coordination and on‑site support to ensure product launches are market‑ready and compliant.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain localized service information and in‑vehicle literature for new model launches.
• Validate technical data with stakeholders, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely publication.
• Assess engineering changes, update service content and coordinate special tools and equipment requirements.
• Monitor technical content quality through dealer feedback and drive continuous improvement.
• Resolve dealer technical issues and close service information gaps promptly.
• Support cost‑reduction initiatives and improve customer satisfaction through accurate documentation.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in a technical or engineering role within manufacturing.
• Strong analysis, coordination and planning abilities.
• Proven experience in technical writing and content development.
• Familiarity with engineering processes and market‑specific technical standards.
• Ability to work on‑site in the Eastern Cape.
