Procurement Manager

About the role

Radisson Hotel & Convention Centre, Johannesburg is looking for a Procurement Manager to strengthen its strategic sourcing and optimise procurement processes. The role supports the smooth running of the procurement department, works with key stakeholders to maximise guest satisfaction and comfort, and manages the department's purchasing budget.

Key responsibilities

• Support the smooth running of the procurement department with diligent financial process control in line with company procedures.
• Work proactively with key stakeholders to source quality products and resolve enquiries and problems responsively.
• Develop and implement business strategies with clear objectives, accurate performance measurement and timely reporting.
• Manage the life cycle of the team, fostering growth, development and performance.
• Control, audit and develop the purchasing budget and all purchasing functions.
• Review purchasing performance, objectives and standard practices and recommend improvements that drive financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, with due diligence, best practice and documentation for internal and external audits, including follow-up.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hotel purchasing with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent managerial skills with a hands-on, lead-by-example approach.
• Commitment to exceptional guest service and a passion for the hospitality industry.
• Ability to find creative solutions and give advice and recommendations.
• Personal integrity and the ability to work in an environment demanding excellence, time and energy.
