Procurement Category Manager – Facilities & G&A

About the role

The Procurement Category Manager for Facilities & G&A will lead the sourcing and management of key facility services across PepsiCo South Africa, overseeing an annual spend of approximately $42 million. This role is responsible for driving cost‑efficiency, risk management, and supplier performance in line with PepsiCo’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the procurement strategy for cleaning, security, temporary labour, staff transport and non‑GP managed white‑space services.
• Design and implement technical platforms and competitive‑tension programs to create market advantage.
• Lead RFP evaluation, build comparative pricing models and provide recommendations to category leaders.
• Create a value‑engineering and productivity pipeline targeting at least 8 % annual savings on compressible spend.
• Establish commodity splits, pricing mechanisms and risk‑management strategies for all services.
• Prepare and monitor PSP/AOP budgets, ensuring alignment with monthly financial targets.
• Provide technical leadership to the supplier base, driving performance improvements and compliance with regulatory and environmental standards.
• Collaborate with Legal to negotiate and finalize contracts.

Required profile

• Proven experience in category management or strategic sourcing, preferably within facilities services.
• Strong analytical ability to develop pricing models and assess supplier proposals.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering cost‑saving initiatives and productivity improvements.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, including partnership with finance, legal and operational teams.
