Procurement Administrator

About the role

Our client, a manufacturing operation based in Milnerton, Cape Town, is looking for an experienced Procurement Administrator. You will manage the complete procurement lifecycle, ensuring efficient purchasing, cost optimisation and strong vendor relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Process and administer purchase orders from creation through delivery and invoice reconciliation.
• Manage end‑to‑end tender processes, including opportunity identification, documentation preparation and compliance checks.
• Draft, distribute and evaluate RFQs, RFIs and RFPs.
• Collaborate with internal departments, project managers and finance to define procurement specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of contracts, amendments and all procurement activities.
• Liaise between internal teams and external suppliers to ensure smooth operations.

Required profile

• Certificate, diploma or degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field (preferred).
• 2‑3 years of hands‑on experience in procurement administration.
• Proven ability to manage tenders, RFQs, RFIs and RFPs.
• Experience administering purchase orders and supplier orders.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with procurement and ERP systems such as SAGE, Pastel, SAP or Oracle.
• Knowledge of tender and RFx management processes.
• Ability to handle purchase order creation, tracking and invoice reconciliation.
• Familiarity with contract and vendor administration.
