Process Engineer (Industrial Engineer)

About the role

A client of Parvana is hiring a Process Engineer (Industrial Engineer) in Johannesburg, working in a hybrid setting. The client provides financial service solutions to help its customers achieve their goals, with a team of over 600 employees and a culture focused on research, innovation and improvement using Agile methods.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain major and minor workflow processes and components for clients, including automated workflows, integrated with various systems.
• Facilitate process evaluation workshops and customer journey mapping with stakeholders when implementing new or improving existing processes.
• Provide onsite training and documentation to support the training and implementation of new solutions.
• Ensure new and updated processes are evaluated from a business perspective, with common business logic considered in process design.
• Create solutions in a clean, well-structured and easily maintainable format, delivering workflow-based solutions on time and of high quality.
• Communicate effectively in technical and business environments, working as a team member and individually at client sites.

Required profile

• A relevant tertiary degree (e.g. BEng Industrial, BCom / BSc Computer Science).
• At least 2 to 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in IT implementation and the finance industry is advantageous.
• Flexibility, adaptability and the ability to learn quickly in technical environments, delivering quality work by tight deadlines.
