Principal Database Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Principal Database Engineer to lead the design and delivery of enterprise‑grade data and business intelligence solutions. You will work within a skilled data development team, turning complex business requirements into scalable reporting platforms that drive strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop enterprise data warehouse and BI solutions.
• Build and maintain ETL processes using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
• Develop and optimise complex Oracle SQL and PL/SQL code.
• Create logical and physical data models for scalable analytics.
• Develop and maintain Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) repositories and metadata layers.
• Ensure performance, scalability and maintainability of database and reporting solutions.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of hands‑on Oracle development, ETL, BI or data‑warehousing experience.
• Proven track record delivering enterprise reporting and analytics platforms.
• Strong expertise in ODI development and ETL design.
• Experience with OAS repository development and Oracle Database 19c or newer.
• Knowledge of Oracle GoldenGate and integration using Python, Spark or APIs.
