Primary School Teacher – Johannesburg West (Talent Pool)

About the role

SPARK Schools is seeking enthusiastic Primary School Teachers for its West Region talent pool in Johannesburg. You will join a high‑growth, mission‑driven network that blends classroom teaching with online instruction to deliver personalised education.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver in‑person and distance‑learning lessons for primary grades.
• Teach core subjects and lead academic clubs and enrichment activities aligned with SPARK’s pedagogical standards.
• Implement project‑based and place‑based learning, using data‑driven decisions to personalise instruction.
• Lead grade‑wide or subject‑wide initiatives such as moderation, data tracking and the creation of Individualised Behaviour and Learning Plans (IBLPs).
• Administer formative and termly assessments, analyse scholar data and design support programmes for low‑ and high‑performing learners.
• Facilitate Character Quotient (CQ) sessions and mentor scholars in reflection activities.

Required profile

• Passion for student achievement and ability to maintain high expectations for classroom culture.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with principals, colleagues and families.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and instructional coaching.

Required skills

• Experience with blended learning environments.
• Proficiency in project‑based and differentiated instruction.
• Ability to use data to inform teaching strategies.
