Primary Healthcare Nursing Practitioner

About the role

Kaelo is seeking a Primary Healthcare Nursing Practitioner to provide occupational and primary health services within its on‑site clinic. The role involves delivering medical surveillance, handling emergencies, and ensuring compliance with health regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct medical surveillance examinations and record findings.
• Interpret and refer surveillance results to the Occupational Health Medical Practitioner.
• Manage clinic documentation and health‑risk assessments.
• Provide primary health care, IOD, and emergency medical support.
• Ensure legal compliance of the on‑site clinic.

Required profile

• Professional Nurse with at least 2 years of primary health care experience.
• Current registration with SANC, SASOHN and the Department of Health.
• Qualification in Primary Health Nursing; occupational health qualification is an advantage.
• Certificates in dispensing, audiometry and spirometry.
• Strong customer orientation, ethical behaviour and excellent communication skills.
