Paediatrician – Full-time Locum in Gqeberha (6 months)

About the role

An established specialist paediatric practice in Gqeberha is seeking a Paediatrician to provide additional clinical support on a full‑time six‑month locum/fixed‑term contract, with possible extension.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to in‑hospital and outpatient paediatric patients, conducting consultations, assessments and follow‑up appointments.
• Develop and manage appropriate treatment plans, ensuring continuity of care and maintaining accurate clinical records.
• Communicate professionally with parents, caregivers and referring doctors, and liaise with other specialists.
• Support the day‑to‑day clinical workload of the practice and manage a busy caseload while maintaining high standards of patient care.

Required profile

• MBChB degree and registration as a Specialist Paediatrician with the HPCSA.
• Previous experience in hospital and/or private practice settings.
• Strong clinical knowledge, decision‑making skills and ability to work independently and within a specialist team.
• Full‑time availability for the contract duration and excellent organisational abilities.
