Post‑Graduate Student Radiographer – Nuclear Medicine

About the role

Life Healthcare Diagnostics is seeking a qualified diagnostic radiographer to join a post‑graduate programme in Nuclear Medicine. The role combines clinical duties with academic study, rotating across three Gauteng units (Northcliff, Benoni Glynnwood, Midstream) while pursuing the BRad Hons Nuclear Medicine course at the University of Pretoria.

Key responsibilities

• Assist administrative staff in scheduling patients for nuclear medicine procedures and manage authorisation processes.
• Prepare patients for scheduled nuclear medicine examinations and perform procedures under supervision.
• Carry out hot‑lab procedures and prepare radiopharmaceuticals.
• Perform routine equipment inspections, quality‑assurance checks and adhere to radiation safety principles.
• Participate in staff meetings, briefings, training sessions and maintain health‑and‑safety standards.

Required profile

• Degree in Diagnostic Radiography.
• Active registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) and CPD compliance.
• Own transport for commuting between units.
• Provisional acceptance into the University of Pretoria’s BRad Hons Nuclear Medicine programme.
