About the role
Dis‑Chem Pharmacies is offering a Pharmacist Intern position at its Farramere store in Benoni. The internship is designed to give learners a solid understanding of the pharmaceutical environment and to promote quality lifelong learning.
Key responsibilities
- Understand the underlying principles of major areas within the pharmaceutical environment.
- Provide pharmaceutical care by taking responsibility for patients' medication‑related needs.
- Deliver excellent customer service in a retail pharmacy setting.
Required profile
- Willing and able to work retail hours.
- Physically fit and able to stand for long periods.
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable personal transport.
- Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council or hold a valid work permit.
- Clear credit and criminal records.
Required skills
- Knowledge of retail/FMCG operations.
- Proficiency in a third additional language.
- Understanding of drug and family planning concepts.
- Familiarity with complementary medicine.
