Polymer New Product Developer

About the role

We are seeking a Polymer New Product Developer to join our manufacturing team in the Western Cape. The role focuses on developing innovative polymer products, conducting laboratory testing, and supporting manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop new polymer formulations and products.
• Conduct and interpret laboratory experiments and material testing.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to optimise processing techniques.
• Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and Quality Management System records.
• Analyse data using advanced Excel functions and generate reports.

Required profile

• BSc in Polymer Science, Chemistry or a related scientific field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in polymer science, product development, or a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of polymer materials, formulations and processing impacts on performance.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive).
• Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, Pivot Charts and complex formulas.
• Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and laboratory documentation.

What we offer

• Competitive monthly salary ranging from R30,000 to R45,000.
