Platform and Integration Engineer - Security Telemetry

About the role

RedMimicry is looking for a Platform and Integration Engineer focused on security telemetry, a remote position open to candidates in Gauteng, South Africa. The role builds a new capability to handle fragmented security data, working closely with cross-functional teams. It is part-time, at 32 hours per week, with monthly in-person collaboration at the Berlin office.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain the platform that collects, processes and analyses security telemetry from many sources
• Integrate security tools, data sources and platforms so they present a unified view of the threat landscape
• Contribute to the architecture and strategic direction of the security telemetry programme
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues and run regular assessments to keep systems healthy and secure
• Work with colleagues across departments to gather requirements and share insights

Required profile

• Demonstrable experience with the Golang (Go) programming language
• Solid understanding of information security principles, concepts and best practices
• Proven ability to integrate disparate systems, including API development and data transformation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills in a remote setting
• Commitment to working part-time, 32 hours per week
