Plant Shift Foreman

About the role

Stibium Mining is seeking an experienced Plant Shift Foreman (C3) to join its Metallurgy department at the Gravelotte site in Limpopo. The role involves supervising shift teams, ensuring safe and efficient plant operations, and meeting production targets for gold and antimony processing.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise shift employees in line with plant policies and procedures.
• Monitor mill and process plant parameters to guarantee safe, effective operation.
• Coordinate production startups, shutdowns, and changeovers.
• Control and monitor all process equipment and address operator‑identified issues.
• Manage shift scheduling, including assignments, rotations, training, vacations, breaks, overtime and backup coverage.
• Conduct shift meetings, maintain housekeeping, complete paperwork, and submit required samples to the Assay Laboratory.
• Perform shift handover, communicating deviations with other foremen and the Metallurgical Supervisor.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification and a Diploma in Metallurgy.
• Minimum of 3 years gold plant experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Knowledge of Mine Health & Safety requirements and a valid driver’s licence.
• Experience with data capture, trend monitoring and control‑room (SCADA) systems is advantageous.

Required skills

• Gold smelting knowledge (beneficial).
