About the role
Our client, operating in the Northwest region, is seeking a qualified Plant Engineer to support its mining operations in Cape Town. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring plant systems meet technical standards and legal requirements while providing engineering supervision.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure plant engineering activities comply with the technical and responsibility requirements of the legal appointment.
- Supervise and lead engineering teams, applying best practices in mechanical or electrical plant operations.
- Utilise knowledge from the Management Development Programme (MDP) or equivalent to drive continuous improvement.
Required profile
- Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualification (N6/NDIP GCC Mines & Works).
- Minimum five years experience in a supervisory engineering position, preferably with a 2.13.3.1 appointment.
- Demonstrated ability to meet technical and legal appointment responsibilities.
- Completion of a Management Development Programme (MDP) or equivalent.
