Phlebotomy Technician / Staff Nurse – Lichtenburg

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Phlebotomy Technician or Staff Nurse to join our Lichtenburg branch. The successful candidate will perform venous and arterial blood collection, operate point‑of‑care instruments and support the pathology team while upholding PathCare’s values of ethics and integrity.

Required profile

• Enrolled Nurse Certificate or Phlebotomy Technician qualification, registered with SANC/HPCSA
• Valid Code B driver’s licence (manual transmission)
• Proven phlebotomy experience, preferably in pathology
• Fluent English with an understanding of Afrikaans
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
• Strong attention to detail, teamwork and problem‑solving abilities

Required skills

• Phlebotomy techniques, including order of draw
• Operation of point‑of‑care devices such as Hemocue and Stratus
• Arterial blood gas analysis on dedicated machines
• Computer literacy, preferably with Meditech software
