Pharmacy Manager – Retail Pharmacy

About the role

The Pharmacy Manager will lead the Clicks dispensary and clinic in Heidedal, ensuring high‑quality pharmaceutical care, compliance with South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) regulations, and strong customer service. You will be responsible for both operational efficiency and team performance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the dispensary and clinic, guaranteeing accurate and safe dispensing, including generic substitution.
• Manage stock levels, shrinkage, housekeeping, and administrative tasks in line with SAPC regulations and company standards.
• Drive financial performance by monitoring expenses, meeting sales targets, and ensuring the dispensary’s profitability.
• Schedule and supervise pharmacy staff, learners, and interns, maintaining compliance with labour policies.
• Implement customer service initiatives that boost loyalty, club‑card participation, and overall customer experience.
• Collaborate with the clinic and health‑aisle teams to provide a comprehensive health offering.
• Foster a high‑performing culture aligned with Clicks’ values and vision.

Required profile

• Registered Pharmacist with SAPC registration.
• Minimum 2 years experience after community service.
• At least 1 year of people‑management experience.
• Registration as the Responsible Pharmacist.
• Retail pharmacy experience and familiarity with Unisolv is desirable.

Required skills

• SAPC legal and regulatory knowledge.
• Proficiency with Unisolv pharmacy software.
