Pharmacy Manager – Retail Pharmacy

About the role

Clicks is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead the dispensary and clinic at its Peppergrove store. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality pharmaceutical care, ensuring compliance with South African Pharmacy Council regulations, and driving sales and service excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee safe and accurate dispensing, including generic substitution and patient counseling.
• Manage stock levels, shrinkage, housekeeping, and administrative tasks in line with SAPC regulations.
• Control financial performance of the dispensary, monitor expenses and achieve sales targets.
• Recruit, schedule, and develop pharmacy staff, learners and interns, ensuring full staffing according to labour policies.
• Lead customer service initiatives to enhance loyalty and meet club‑card participation goals.
• Integrate pharmacy services with the in‑store clinic and health‑care aisle to provide a comprehensive offering.
• Uphold Clicks’ values and promote a high‑performing, collaborative culture.

Required profile

• Registered Pharmacist with SAPC registration and responsible pharmacist designation.
• Minimum 2 years experience after community service, plus at least 1 year people‑management experience.
• Strong knowledge of SAPC regulations, ethical practice and compliance.

Required skills

• Experience with Unisolv pharmacy software.
