About the role

Join adidas as a Permanent Part‑Time Retail Associate at the Pavilion store in Durban. You will support daily store operations, deliver excellent customer service, and help maintain a welcoming shopping environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide the highest level of adidas service to every customer.
• Process sales transactions, including cash, credit, and checks.
• Assist with product ticketing, paperwork verification, and stock flow from the stockroom to the sales floor.
• Help develop and maintain merchandise displays according to management guidelines.
• Use the point‑of‑sale system efficiently and ensure transaction integrity.
• Apply selling techniques such as add‑on sales and technical product explanations.
• Greet customers, act as a front‑door greeter during busy periods, and assist them in finding the right products.
• Maintain store cleanliness and general housekeeping standards.
• Safeguard company assets, monitor for suspicious activity, and follow loss‑prevention procedures.
• Participate in in‑store or digital training (Atticus/AREA) and become familiar with Power BI tools for store performance insights.

Required profile

• Passion for retail and customer service.
• Clear, upbeat communication and the ability to work flexibly across weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
• Adaptability to handle varied tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Matric certificate with 0‑1 years of retail experience (fashion retail experience is a plus).

Required skills

• Proficiency with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
• Basic knowledge of Power BI for performance reporting.
