Partnerships Officer

About the role
The Partnerships Officer will join WWF South Africa’s fundraising team to help secure and grow funding from international development agencies, embassies, trusts and foundations. This permanent position is based in Newlands or Braamfontein and works closely with the Strategic Partnership Specialist and the Public Sector Partnerships Manager.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, cultivate and manage relationships with key international aid agencies and foundations.
- Support the preparation of funding proposals, grant applications and partnership agreements.
- Track and report on partnership performance against WWF‑SA strategic outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align partnership opportunities with program priorities.
- Represent WWF South Africa at relevant external events and meetings.
Required profile
- Passion for conservation and sustainable development.
- Results‑oriented mindset with strong analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Required skills
- Experience in fundraising, grant writing or partnership development within the international development sector.
- Familiarity with donor reporting and compliance requirements.
