Part-Time Veterinarian – Johannesburg South

About the role

An established and busy small‑animal veterinary practice in Johannesburg South is seeking a dedicated Part‑Time Veterinarian to join its professional and patient‑focused team. The position provides flexible afternoon shifts 2–3 times per week and approximately two Saturdays per month, allowing you to continue delivering high‑quality clinical care in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine and advanced medical consultations for a wide range of small‑animal conditions.
• Diagnose, treat and manage medical cases, including performing surgical procedures and overseeing peri‑operative care.
• Deliver clear, compassionate communication and education to clients.
• Manage in‑hospital patients, contribute to treatment planning and maintain accurate clinical records.
• Collaborate with colleagues to achieve optimal patient outcomes while adhering to hospital protocols.

Required profile

• BVSc degree and SAVC registration.
• Updated CPD points.
• Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Dedication to continuing education and professional growth.
