Panel Wireman – Electrical Manufacturing

About the role

Our client, a leading manufacturer of catering and baking equipment, is seeking an experienced Panel Wireman to join the Electrical Department in Bellville. The role involves wiring electrical chassis and control systems for bakery equipment and repairing electrical issues on imported products.

Key responsibilities

• Work in a team to meet production priorities and schedules daily, weekly and monthly.
• Complete job cards daily and keep records of completed jobs.
• Follow the factory production schedule and priorities.
• Assist in improving material flow and avoid bottlenecks.
• Contribute to improving BOM, process data and layouts for manufacturing.
• Continuously assess BOM and report differences to the Production Director and Foreman.
• Check parts received from stores against BOM and sign off receipt.
• Improve quality, cost and final inspection and approval of all electrical work.
• Perform final check, testing and calibration of all equipment electrical work.
• Ensure safe work practices and report incidents and suggestions for safety improvements.

Required profile

• N4 National Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Qualified Electrician – Red Seal.
• Ability to read and work from electrical wire diagrams and drawings.
• PLC installation and programming is an advantage.
• Own transport.
• Good communication skills.
