Packaging Team Leader – Brewery Operations

About the role

The Packaging Team Leader oversees the safe and efficient packing of brewery products, ensuring that bottling, canning, kegging and palletising meet quality and regulatory standards. You will manage a shift crew, coordinate after‑hours line requirements and drive continuous improvement across the pack hall.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, healthy, risk‑free work environment and comply with safety, health, HACCP and ISO 22000 regulations.
• Implement the Manufacturing Excellence strategy, coach staff and ensure accurate shift handovers.
• Monitor and optimise shift performance, production output, utility usage and waste management.
• Lead autonomous maintenance activities, coordinate breakdown response and support problem‑solving.
• Own cost elements such as liquid loss, packaging material loss, CO₂ usage and consumables, investigating variances and applying corrective actions.
• Inspire and motivate the broader team, manage routine administration and performance reviews for direct reports.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading packaging or production teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of food safety, quality control and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to coach, develop and retain multi‑skilled staff.
• Excellent communication, decision‑making and problem‑solving skills.
