Packaging Operator – Clayville

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Operator to run our packaging lines at the Clayville facility. The role involves operating and maintaining packaging equipment to meet production targets while upholding safety, quality and cost‑effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure safe machine operation in line with OSH regulations and use appropriate PPE.
• Verify equipment readiness, start‑up, shutdown and change‑overs according to SOPs.
• Monitor production KPIs, control process parameters and manage waste on shift.
• Perform first‑line and autonomous maintenance, report faults and follow asset‑care protocols.
• Conduct timely quality checks on packaging processes and adhere to food‑safety standards.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and support shift handovers.
• Assist with tasks outside the normal scope to drive manufacturing excellence.

Required profile

• Matric Certificate.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a multi‑skilled operator in an FMCG environment.
• Technical courses (N3, N4, N5 or N6) are an advantage.
• Willingness to work shift schedules dictated by production needs.
