Outbound Supervisor

About the role

The Outbound Supervisor manages the day-to-day fulfilment, dispatch and delivery of goods at the dental warehouse. They oversee warehouse workflows including order picking, packing and handover to 3PL providers so that shipments reach customers accurately, safely and on schedule. They also lead team performance, enforce safety compliance and make sure service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently met.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily outbound activities from order release to dispatch, and supervise picking, staging and packing so orders are ready before cut-off times.
• Maintain 100% inventory accuracy and proper handling of all outgoing consignments.
• Oversee, train and manage warehouse associates, pickers, packers and outbound sales team members, including performance evaluations, scheduling and coaching on daily and weekly targets.
• Act as the main liaison between outbound, inbound, transport/logistics (3PL) and Sales, and generate daily, weekly and monthly performance and shipping reports.
• Investigate customer complaints and carry out corrective actions.
• Enforce SOPs, QA guidelines and OHASA health and safety regulations, including asset protection, PPE and hazard control.
• Supervise morning cycle counts, housekeeping (5S), reporting trackers, opening and closing the facility, onsite 3PL personnel and administration.

Required profile

• Typically 2 to 3 years of experience in a warehouse, supply chain or warehouse distribution setting.
• Diploma or bachelor's degree in business management or Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
• Ability to mentor staff, resolve conflicts, communicate clearly and work under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and data analytics.
• Advantageous: Dynamics Nav 2018 and Microsoft Business Central.
