Operations Supervisor – Logistics

About the role

Premium Personnel is seeking a dynamic Operations Supervisor to lead daily fleet and warehouse activities for a fast‑paced logistics company based in Centurion. The role blends office administration with hands‑on floor management, ensuring efficient driver routing, loading, and dispatch.

Key responsibilities

• Assign collection and delivery routes and monitor drivers via tracking systems to minimise off‑route delays.
• Inspect fleet for damage, coordinate washing, maintenance runs and conduct physical inventory of loading equipment.
• Capture waybills, create manifests, compile daily trip‑sheets and assist with loading, strapping and forklift operation as needed.
• Manage loading schedules, update forklift operators by 14:30 and coordinate vehicle allocation lists by 12:00.
• Maintain accurate cash‑on‑delivery records, lead Tuesday morning toolbox meetings and post operational updates to management groups.

Required profile

• Proven supervisory or operational experience in logistics, transport or courier services.
• Residence in or very close to Centurion (essential).
• Willingness to work long operational hours, often after 17:00.
• Strong communication, quick decision‑making under pressure and active fleet‑tracking capabilities.

Required skills

• High proficiency in MS Excel.
• High proficiency in MS Word.
• Knowledge of Parcel Perfect (advantageous).
