Operations Shipping Clerk

About the role

The Operations Shipping Clerk will coordinate and manage all import, export and cross‑trade activities for Trans Ocean Liquid Technologies in Cape Town. This role is a key link in the supply chain, ensuring that shipments are booked, documented and processed in line with local and destination requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and process invoices using X3 and Pastel, forwarding them to relevant offices and filing appropriately.
• Arrange work orders, bookings with shipping lines, and update packing orders in X3.
• Compile and send all required shipping documents, packing lists and customs paperwork to ZAC, despatch, and transport partners.
• Monitor vessel loading, verify bills of lading, and manage VGM information for Navis.
• Maintain customs files, acquire import permits, and support customs inspections.
• Liaise with factory supervisors, despatch teams, and finance for duty, VAT and acquittal processes.

Required profile

• Experience in import/export coordination and logistics operations.
• Strong knowledge of local and international customs regulations.
• Ability to handle multiple documentation streams and meet tight deadlines.
