About the role
The Operational Manager will lead the Silo Operations Department, driving profitability and minimizing risk for the Group. This senior position focuses on effective controls, planning and execution within grain handling and storage.
Key responsibilities
- Effective management of operational activities within the silo operations department.
- Leadership and supervision of staff to ensure productivity and safety.
- Risk identification, assessment and mitigation to protect assets.
- Financial oversight including budgeting, cost control and profitability improvement.
- Planning and execution of projects related to grain handling and storage.
Required profile
- Grade 12 with a relevant diploma or degree.
- Minimum five years of management experience, preferably in the grain or agricultural sector.
- Proven background in grain industry operations.
- Completed grain grading courses.
- Valid driver’s licence.
