Onsite Support & Installation Technician – Port Elizabeth

About the role

Lesaka Merchant Division is expanding its Installation & Support team in the Eastern Cape. The technician will work on‑site in Port Elizabeth and surrounding areas, delivering high‑quality POS installations, client training, and post‑implementation support.

Key responsibilities

• Install and configure POS hardware and software at client locations.
• Set up back‑office systems, including stock control, administration and reporting.
• Manage go‑live events, providing after‑hours support and hand‑holding.
• Provide technical and software support during business hours and on standby as per regional roster.
• Train client staff on POS and back‑office systems and obtain sign‑off.
• Collaborate with the regional technical team and own allocated installation sections.

Required profile

• Customer‑centric with strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Calm under pressure and proactive in delivering solutions.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to work irregular hours, travel across the Eastern Cape and own a reliable vehicle.

Required skills

• A+ certification (or equivalent IT qualification).
• N+ certification (or equivalent).
• Windows networking experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in IT or technical support.
• Strong technical support background.
