Online Bilingual English/French Teacher

About the role

EF Education First is seeking bilingual English/French teachers to deliver online lessons to adult learners worldwide. The role is based in Cape Town and combines classroom preparation with live, conversation‑focused instruction.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct 40‑45 minute group and private online lessons for beginner‑level adult students.
• Provide after‑class progress reports and personalized improvement recommendations.
• Participate in mandatory training sessions and ongoing professional development.
• With experience, design custom lesson materials tailored to student needs.

Required profile

• South African residency with a valid ID document.
• English proficiency at C2 level with a neutral accent.
• French proficiency at B2‑C1 level.
• Bachelor’s degree or NQF Level 7 qualification.
• TEFL certification preferred (EF will fund a course if needed).
• Highly computer literate and able to use a smartphone for daily sign‑ins.
• Professional, energetic and enthusiastic about teaching.

What we offer

• Permanent full‑time contract (40 hours/week, Monday‑Friday, 09:00‑18:00).
• Gross monthly salary of R7,627 plus supplemental fees for French bilingual lessons.
