Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site position is based in Port Elizabeth and focuses on delivering occupational health services to employees across various industries. The Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner will play a key role in promoting workplace safety and employee well‑being.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive health assessments and medical surveillance for employees.
• Manage and coordinate workplace health programmes.
• Provide primary care services within the occupational setting.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with employers to identify and address health and safety concerns.
• Develop preventive health strategies and risk‑reduction plans.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date medical records.

Required profile

• Qualified Nurse with a focus on clinical excellence and patient care.
• Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
• Certified Nurse Practitioner capable of delivering primary care.
• Specialised knowledge of occupational health principles, policies and implementation.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities to work with multidisciplinary teams.
• Proactive problem‑solving mindset and commitment to employee well‑being.
• Experience in conducting health and risk assessments is advantageous.
