Nursing Manager - Theatre

About the role

Mediclinic Winelands Orthopaedic Hospital in Stellenbosch is recruiting a Nursing Manager for its theatre department. The role supports the Hospital General Manager in leading and coordinating safe, quality patient care. It is a permanent, on-site position.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Hospital General Manager to deliver quality patient care in line with the hospital's operational goals and objectives
• Manage patient risks to achieve patient safety and specified clinical outcomes
• Ensure a positive patient experience in line with corporate benchmarks
• Ensure optimal use of a competent, engaged workforce and other resources in line with company guidelines
• Lead and manage direct reports
• Build and manage key stakeholder relationships to achieve integrated patient care and positive clinical outcomes

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in nursing and an appropriate leadership/management qualification
• 5 years of experience in a supervisory position, such as Unit Manager
• Desired: Operating Theatre Science qualification and 2-3 years of supervisory experience in a specialised unit
