New Markets Account Executive (Mid Market, Cross Industry) - Cape Town

About the role

Salesforce is hiring a New Markets Account Executive for its mid-market, cross-industry business in Cape Town. The Account Executive creates, progresses and closes opportunities for the full Salesforce Customer 360 platform, acting as a trusted advisor to C-Suite executives and leading deals from first call to order form signature. The role is based in Cape Town and is remote.

Key responsibilities

• Sell the Salesforce Customer 360 platform to commercial accounts in South Africa (300-2000 FTE).
• Build trusted relationships with existing accounts to identify new opportunities and land new logos.
• Run complex deals end-to-end, forecast, prospect, build strategy, attend roundtables and events, and take point on urgent issues.
• Advise customers on the Salesforce platform and promoted solutions, and use solution selling to uncover customer challenges and increase revenue.
• Work with the supporting team and engage the right resources to lead the end-to-end sales process.
• Research territories and verticals to formalise a go-to-market strategy and build qualified target accounts.
• Maintain regular customer contact to build long-lasting, high-value relationships.

Required profile

• Experience influencing C-Suite executives in commercial accounts, or the ability to do so.
• Has carried a quota and worked toward sales targets.
• Self-motivated, resilient, with a high EQ and a growth mindset.
• Able to build credibility as a Trusted Adviser and to craft a point of view.
• Previous sales methodology training, CRM experience and strong customer references preferred.
