Monitoring and Gender Officer

About the role

The Monitoring and Gender Officer will support the Just Transition Finance Mechanism (JTFM) by strengthening monitoring, reporting and learning systems that embed gender equality, youth participation and social inclusion across all project activities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain monitoring and reporting frameworks that integrate gender, youth and inclusion indicators.
• Act as the programme’s gender focal point, ensuring gender considerations are mainstreamed in consultations, governance and project outputs.
• Collect, analyse and disaggregate data to generate evidence on gender and social inclusion impacts.
• Provide targeted recommendations to improve institutional strengthening, accountability and alignment with just transition principles.
• Support the preparation of reports for donors, partners and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in monitoring, reporting and data analysis with a focus on gender equality and social inclusion.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including public, private and civil‑society partners.
• Strong understanding of just transition concepts and climate‑finance initiatives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
