Mobile Developer

About the role

Bluegrass Digital is seeking a Mobile Developer on a contract basis to join its delivery team in Cape Town. You will work in a hybrid setting (three days onsite) on fast‑paced projects across multiple industries, collaborating with designers, product owners, QA and backend teams to deliver high‑quality mobile experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high‑quality mobile applications using modern frameworks.
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, and backend developers to define requirements.
• Write reusable, scalable, and maintainable code.
• Participate in architecture and technical design discussions.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise application performance.
• Ensure code quality through testing and peer reviews.
• Contribute to CI/CD and release processes, including App Store and Google Play deployments.

Required profile

• 5+ years of mobile development experience.
• Strong understanding of mobile architecture and performance optimisation.
• Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable with a hybrid work environment (3 days onsite).
