Mixer – Plant Operations

About the role
The Mixer is responsible for accurately filling micro‑dosers, monitoring plant operations and operating extruders within a manufacturing environment. The role ensures that ingredients are handled safely and that production runs smoothly according to batch specifications.
Key responsibilities
- Fill micro‑dosers with the correct ingredients following the prescribed batching sequence.
- Operate extruders and other plant equipment while maintaining quality standards.
- Conduct daily physical inspections and monitor plant conditions.
- Transfer ingredients to and from the mixing floor safely and efficiently.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Report any out‑of‑specification results to the supervisor promptly.
- Assist process controllers when required.
- Accurately record production data and complete required reports.
Required profile
- NGQ 4, Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar manufacturing or production environment.
- Understanding of health and safety standards.
Required skills
- Valid forklift licence (forklift operation).
